Great little brewery just over the Pawtucket line. Smug has a variety of good beers but their sours are especially good which helps them stand out from all the other breweries in the area that seem to specialize in IPAs. The interior of the brewery has an industrial feel, with the bar, a couple benches, and some tables with stools to sit at. They also host a music bingo night which is a lot of fun. Good place to check out if you’re looking to grab a beer!
Smug Brewing has consistently put out some of my favorite sours in RI. I’ve had both their blueberry and raspberry sours and both were excellent. The employees are all so friendly and the vibe is great. Tons of seating and game options for large groups too. Hope to see them bring back the raspberry sour soon!
Great spot, incredibly accommodating. The beers were delicious and the staff was great. Hit this brewery up if you're in town, phenomenal experience.
Thrilled that Smug re-opened inside seating. Fabulous staff that love their job(s). If you like sours, the brewmaster here has your number. The Blue Raz is special. Have the Black Currant first. It is delish but the Blue Raz knocks it down a peg. My gf loved the neipa and the dipa. The only bummer was that they didn’t have the Blue Raz in cans 😢
Lovely place! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Super urban minimalist. Delicious beers and at the time had a yummy pop up food table. Definitely will be back!
Great little brewery, with some awesome beers. The only negatives are that thetly are not dog friendly (every business has their own right to that choice), and that you can't get growlers/ crowlers etc. of their most current flavors, I would love to be able to bring home some of the peach or watermelon beer since it is a hike to get down there
Cool place. They've done a ton of work to this place and it looks amazing. The beer is really good and theres plenty of room for groups. Would be a good place for a game night or trivia.
Love the area outside the brewery proper for games and the new bar. More space than before. Great beer!!
Good quiet place with different themes for each beer. Best beer is Driving Miss Hazy. Bartenders were super nice. Hats off to whom came up with "Talk to me Goose" we'll come back again!
I am leaving Smug brewery with a smile! Super friendly service (I felt like I had known the bartender for years) and tasty beers! The Gourds Gone Wild is the BEST beer I've ever had and the sour was wonderful as well. …
